This series uses antique postcards purchased at Rome's Porta Portese flea market to explore how small architectural interventions can change the perception of existing spaces. The historic buildings, streets, and everyday scenes depicted in the postcards provide a concrete setting for new spatial propositions.
I introduced contemporary architectural elements that attach to façades or occupy streets, rooftops, and public spaces. Contrasts in scale, material, and form encourage viewers to reconsider familiar urban scenes. Each postcard becomes a site for design experimentation, revealing possibilities for spatial change within a historic context.
